GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Management reserves the right to amend or alter prices, sites and conditions at any time without notice.

Site check-in time is between 1pm and 8pm, while Cabin check-in time is between 2pm and 8pm. We do not allow arrivals after 8pm. Check-out time is strictly no later than 10am. We do not offer late check-out.

Whilst we endeavour to meet our guest’s requests, site or cabin preference is not always guaranteed.

Strictly a maximum of two vehicles per site, and one vehicle per cabin. This includes trailers/boats etc.

MINIMUM STAYS

During long weekends, with a Monday public holiday, there is a minimum stay of 3 nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights). Where a public holiday falls on a week day management reserve the right to create minimum night stays accordingly.

During the summer holidays, approx mid December to mid January there is a minimum stay of 5 nights.

During Easter there is a minimum stay of 4 nights (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights).

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

If  you cancel your booking at least 14 days prior to your arrival, a full credit will be issued to you for use within 12 months of issue.  Any refund will incur a $40.00 fee (per individual cancelled booking).

Bookings cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival forfeit all monies paid.

Credits that have been retained for a future stay must be used by the expiry date, otherwise the credit will be forfeited.  Credits cannot be refunded.

Any transaction fees (credit card fees etc) incurred in relation to the booking will not be refunded.

No refunds will be issued for early departures.  All cancellations must be requested in writing/email.

PAYMENTS & DEPOSITS

A $100 deposit is required to secure all site bookings. A one night deposit is required to secure all cabin bookings.  This deposit is taken on a credit card, and incurs a 1.4% credit card surcharge. When balance payments are due, there is the option to pay via bank transfer to avoid further credit card surcharges. Reservations will not be guaranteed or confirmed without a deposit. Please note if your deposit is not paid by the required date, your reservation will be cancelled. All online bookings require a valid credit card and the deposit must be paid at the time of booking. If final payments are not received by the due date, your booking may be cancelled and any deposit payments received will be forfeited.

Peak Season

20 December – 31 January bookings – deposit required at time of booking with final balance due 21 days prior to arrival date.

26 December (two week period) - Bookings staying over the two week period from 26 December are required to finalise the length of stay by 1 December with final balance due 21 days prior to arrival. Any shortening of stays during this period will not be permitted after 1 December.

Easter Long Weekend – deposit required at time of booking with final balance due 21 days prior to arrival date.

When any other booking is made within 21 days of arrival, full payment is required at time of booking.

Off Peak Season

All bookings - deposit required at time of booking with final balance due 21 days prior to arrival.

Long Weekend bookings - deposit required at time of booking with final balance due 21 days prior to arrival.

When any other booking is made within 21 days of arrival, full payment is required at time of booking.

ELECTRIC VEHICLES

Electric vehicles are NOT to be charged from cabins or anywhere within Southern Stars.  The closest charging station is in Dunsborough township.

CABIN TERMS & CONDITIONS

The maximum number of occupants permitted to occupy a cabin is two (2).  If this occupancy number is exceeded, your booking will be cancelled, your monies will be forfeited, and you will be asked to leave the premises.  This occupancy limit applies to adults/children/infants.

Check-In for Cabins is strictly between 2PM (no earlier) and 8PM (no later).

Check-Out is strictly no later than 10AM.  We do not offer late check-outs.
Upon check-in the person who has made the booking must provide photo ID (drivers licence/passport etc).
A pre-authorisation/security bond of $300.00 will be taken from your credit card and held as a security deposit for damages, excessive cleaning, or extra charges.  Please ensure that you bring with you, upon check-in, a valid VisaCard or MasterCard. This must be the physical card (no digital version).  All security deposits will be refundable upon check-out after an inspection has been carried out, less any additional charges. Depending on your bank and processing times, it may take a few days for the security deposit to return to your card.
Pets are not permitted inside cabins under any circumstances.  Evidence of pets being inside cabins will incur a cleaning fee of $200 charged against your credit card.
Smoking is not permitted inside cabins.  Evidence of smoking having occurred inside cabins will incur a fee of $200 charged against your credit card.
Any damage, breakages, or losses to the property and/or furnishings are to be reported to reception and paid for immediately. All furnishings and equipment must be left in the cabin as originally found. Damage not paid for will be charged to your card without notice.
One (1) vehicle per cabin is permitted. Extra vehicles may be parked in the front carpark.
Swags or tents are not permitted to be erected on a cabin site.
A mid-stay service is provided to guests staying 7 nights or more. This consists of bedding/towel replenishing and a basic clean through.  If you are staying for less than 7 nights, and would like a mid-stay service, there will be a charge of $75.00.  Please advise reception upon arrival if you wish to book this service in.
An initial supply of amenities (tea/coffee/shampoo etc) is provided, however these are not restocked during your stay (if less than 7 nights).

ASSISTANCE ANIMALS
Documentation showing that the assistance animal is qualified, accredited, and serving the person they are travelling with must be provided prior to arrival.   In ‘pet free spaces (kitchen, bathrooms etc)’ the assistance animal is required to wear its jacket or other visible identification with branding from the organisation that qualified it, while in those spaces.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend using travel insurance for your holiday needs in respect of injury, employment changes, weather and sickness.

COVID-19 CANCELLATIONS

If you are required to cancel your reservation due to Government mandated travel restrictions (border closures or lockdowns), you will receive a credit to use within 12 months of issue.  The consequences of COVID-19 are no longer unforeseen or unexpected.  Therefore if you happen to contract COVID19, or have a situation where you are required to self isolate, there is no entitlement to a credit/refund.  The only COVID19 related credit is for Government travel restrictions.

 TERMS & CONDITIONS WHEN STAYING AT SSHP WITH YOUR DOG

Any guest enjoying their stay with their dog agrees to the following terms and conditions. This ensures that you, your dog and your fellow campers all enjoy their stay.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

Any disturbances such as barking must be controlled to ensure other guests are not inconvenienced. Management may ask you and your dog to leave if the disturbance continues.

If you are staying in one of our Fenced Pet Campsites, your dog may be off their leash whilst in your enclosed camp site.

Please clean up after your dog and ensure your site is left clean for the next guest.

Your dog must NOT be left unattended at any time during your stay (even if staying in one of our Fenced Pet Campsites).

Dogs are not permitted in the playground area, camp kitchen/recreation area, dam, ablutions/bathrooms or laundry.

Please DO NOT wash your dog’s bedding or blankets in our washing machines or bathrooms.

If your dog acts in any way that is considered dangerous or aggressive, Management have the right to ask you to leave, in which case you will not be entitled to a refund.

There is a fenced exercise area (approx. 1 acre) on the back oval where dogs can have a play/run off lead.

There is a dog/horse exercise beach straight down Chain Avenue (3km away).

You as the dog owner(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless Southern Stars Holiday Park Dunsborough, its managers and staff from all liability, loss and damage suffered as a result of your dog’s actions. Furthermore, you agree solely to accept all liability, financial or otherwise which may result from your dog’s actions.
